Welcome Back Students and Staff!

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year!It is my pleasure to continue to serve the students of Essex High School. I am energized to begin a new school year where opportunities for students are boundless. I challenge each student and staff member to maximize their ability to be successful this year. There are many activities, events and special occasions planned to make this year rewarding and satisfying.I ask each student to take advantage of the opportunities afforded to you. Challenge yourself every day in the classroom, on the playing field, and in life in general. My goal for you is to become a well-rounded, capable member of our school community. We have leadership opportunities for you to grow and blossom.I invite parents and community members to support school efforts through giving of their time and expertise to our school enabling us to prepare future leaders. I desire for your child’s school experiences to be enriching and supportive, yet challenging and rigorous, in order to prepare graduates for the next stage in their life.I request staff and faculty members to come together as we educate our students. Lessons must be engaging, informative and designed to teach our students to think critically, analyze information and synthesize solutions to issues and challenges that they will encounter. There must be one team, united together in order to mold the lives of young people. Students must be taught to tackle the challenges of today and be equipped to face tomorrow possibilities.I challenge students and staff to go beyond the expected and expand your potential. Reach for the stars every day. I challenge each student to not be satisfied with the status quo; demand the best from yourself, your teachers and your community. Be respectful to each other and our facility. Be appropriate in your language, dress and conduct. Be responsible for your actions and how those actions affect others. Be prepared for each day and be on time. Now is the time to reinvigorate Trojan Traditions of Pride, Honor and Excellence through hard work and dedication. Classrooms are being decorated, schedules are being finalized and plans are in place to open a new chapter in Essex High School.I welcome the opportunity to meet with students, parents, and community members as we must work together for all of us to succeed on the pathway to excellence. I look forward to welcoming you back in the hallways, on the athletic fields and in the community. Go Trojans!
