National Bullying Prevention Month

Bullying, harassment and intimidation are not tolerated at Essex County Public Schools.

EHS students are encouraged to think: "In a World Where You Can Be Anything, Choose to Be Kind"

What is Bullying?

-Bullying is typically repeated over time  and may cause severe emotional trauma.

-It's intent is to harm, intimidate, or humiliate the targeted person.

-Involves a real or perceived imbalance of power or strength.

Bullying does not include:

-Ordinary teasing

-Mutual arguments or peer conflict

-Isolated acts of meanness, aggression, social rejection or fights

Virginia Wizard
- This is a helpful tool for all grade levels. Students and parents can look at career and college planning, possible career pathways and what education is needed to get there, what it can cost to live independently (and therefore what jobs you would need for certain lifestyles), and much more.  Students should request log-in information from Ms. Taylor or their School Counselor to access all available content.

PowerSchool Log-In- If you need your PowerSchool log-in information (student or parent), please contact EHS and ask for Ms. Taylor.

Graduation Requirements

In Virginia, students are able to earn an Advanced or Standard diploma in High School. Both diplomas are accepted by colleges and the workforce, and if you have questions on which diploma your student should earn, please contact your school counselor.
