Students at Essex High School organized a Job Fair and Career Expo. The event was held at the Essex High School Commons on April 10th, 2024.

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) students spearheaded the project as a part of their service-learning project, demonstrating their commitment to practical learning experiences and community involvement.

From 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the school's commons area buzzed with the excitement of opportunity as students and community members networked with a wide array of participating employers, including local health systems, restaurants, correctional centers, school divisions, and janitorial services, among others.

This initiative, themed "Open the door to your future," aimed to bridge the gap between education and employment. It provided a valuable opportunity for students and community members to explore career paths, engage in one-on-one conversations with professionals, and learn about job openings and the skills needed to thrive in various sectors.

Essex High School's Career and Technical Education department remains committed to empowering students to discover their passions and equipping them with the tools to pursue them.
